We took Rocky to a holistic vet and she also did reflexology. He was not feeling too well and she felt his spine and neck and found he had a little kink...a quick touch and he was done....jumped off the table and went back to chasing chipmunks that afternoon. Highly recommended.

This is very interesting. My cousin is a reflexology practitioner, and she has treated me for a variety of ailments over the years. It is amazing how effective this treatment actually is. The first time I went to her, my lower back was pulled out, and I was experiencing a lot of pain. She rubbed a spot on my foot for a while, and when I stood up the pain was gone. My back was fully healed within a few days after. I never thought that this same treatment could be used on dogs. I will forward your link to her. I think she will find this to be very interesting. Thank you.

I went to the vet for my dogs full checkup, the vet found lumps on his neck so she checked them out, it turned out to be cancer, if anyone has had a dog with cancer what did you do. my question is do you put him down straight away or how long did you wait without them going through pain?

This is a very difficult and emotional decision. Our dog has cancer and has gone through radiation and will soon start chemotherapy. Our intent is to keep him with us as long as he is not in pain or his quality of life deteriortates to the point that there is no enjoyment. The expensive is often the deciding factor. Trinity takes about $7 in pills every day, plus frequent visits to the oncologist. We have not started chemo and have spent about $3,000 to date (in two months). Fortunately we can afford the treatments. You are the only one who can answer this question, but the deciding factor should include level of pain and quality of life.
This is a terrible experience for everyone, human and canine. We wish you peace. Roger K. |
