It's been a week since the holistic vet came over,so a week that Dante has been on his new Hoxsey tincture. He still is taking his other supplements and raw diet. We are only taking one walk a day now since I am afraid to tire him too much, and it has been in the teens for temperature and I dont want to get him too chilled.
Yesterday after his walk he seemed to be more tired and slept most of the day. Appetite fine, peeing and pooping fine, enjoyed the walk. Our grown kids came for dinner and he perked up a lot for them. Today he is better. Ran around the back yard a little bit, barking at the squirrels in the snow. We went for our walk in the sunshine and he ate a cottage cheese snack after. All in all I would have to say he seems to have a little more energy and interest in stuff, doesnt seem distressed like last week when we called the vet out. The vet said it would be two full weeks on the new meds before we know if it is going to help his lymph nodes to shrink or not. He will come back next week with another bottle and to check Dante's progress. I am so glad we did not euthanize him last week. He is not ready for that step yet, as his quality of life is still good and he is not in any pain or distressed like he was a week ago Sunday. He seems to be back to his baseline except for the huge nodes in his neck and the good sized ones on the back of his legs. Of course, we know that day is right around the bend, but I will dwell on today and let tomorrow take care of itself. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Hope I can give the same report next Monday as well. |

Dear Friend,
So glad that Dante seems to be perking up a little and is continuing to enjoy a walk and some play with the squirrels and enjoys people. You have been given a "gift of more time" and make every moment count just as Dante is doing. Live in THAT moment. I sure hope you have him with you over the Christmas Season and for a long time afterward. Your state of mind really matters now and you are "positive" which makes Dante's life easier too. God Bless you both. I am SO HAPPY for YOU! Blessings, Joanne |

I am so happy for you TJ and Dante. He is a fighter. I pray that you have him in your life's a lot longer. Live in the moment and cherish each and every day. Don't worry about tomorrow. Our fur babies live in the moment as we also should. Stay positive for him and again you and Dante will be in my prayers, Jim
PS. give him a scratch from me.

You and Dante are our best friends as you were the first ones to give us hope. The "Dante" diet is the first one we tried in order to help Madchen. You were the first voice of comfort that we heard and the place we turned to for help.
You have been a beacon of hope for all who come here. You answer the call for all those souls whose lives have been shattered by the horrible diagnosis of "cancer". We are with you and Dante now as he struggles with this bastard disease. Fight on dear friends. Love is the one thing that cannot be destroyed. Flesh may be conquered; but not spirit and not love. All that you have accomplished in these past months will be counted as victories. What does cancer really remove from us but resolve and hope? You have dared to hope and resolved to be together in this tough fight. Nothing can take that from you. I say that in your one sense of purpose; cancer is the loser. Dante may still have to lay his head in rest. You, Tj, may have to give him one last kiss goodnight. But you have, together, fought the good fight. Dante knows the best of human kind because he knows of you. Seek to be at peace. You have done your best; both of you, Love, Madchen's Mom, Jackie |

Thank you. I was just thinking tonight how lucky I am that he is feeling well right now. To think a week and a half ago I was thinking we would be putting him down, but he bounced back. He reminds me to live in the moment and never give up hope, that he hasn't given up yet. I took him for a walk this afternoon -it was a balmy 45 degrees here (last week it was about 10 degrees). The vet said not to go as far and not to overtire him, and he is so disappointed and forlorn when we turn around to go towards home. His spirit is so willing. His appetite is still great-he eats real fast then begs food from us when we eat. I am so totally enjoying having him bust in our bedroom door in the morning to be let out to go to the bathroom. Who knew we would be happy to shovel up dog poo, but I am even happy to do that.
I dont know what I'd do without all of you ,encouraging me when I get down. As long as we have dogs that will eat and their bodies are functioning normally , WE HAVE HOPE. And we have to spread it. |

Dear Friend,
You are so right in saying that "hope" is a big word when it comes to dealing with cancer in our precious pets. I am so happy to hear that Dante is continuing to enjoy his walks and "burst through your bedroom door in the morning" and eating well and all those good things. You have done such a thorough job of providing Dante with the best care, an abundance of love, a good vet, the best food and supplements and it is paying off for you both. I am keeping you in my prayers and when I light my candle each night for everyone here I say an extra prayer for the puppies who are doing well and maybe even "beating the odds." God Bless you dear friend. You are such an asset here and everyone appreciates that. Blessings, Joanne & Puppy Shadow |

Thank you!
I was again thinking how lucky we are, to have the internet where I could find Ted and his book, and have them lead me to this site. Also to educate myself so thoroughly about Dante's Lymphoma and what I could do to give him the best quality of life and maybe a shot at a cure, the natural way. While I don't hold out hope for a cure, what I have been hopeful about is the wonderful length and quality of life he has had since we went holisitic and got the consultation and supplements. The vet will be over Monday or Tuesday to evaluate how the Hoxsey formula is working and IF it is working. I do know that he has his energy back and is not at all restless as he was that night almost 2 weeks ago when I was ready to put him to sleep. He is back to his "normal" of a few weeks ago. How very thankful I am for that. I have every expectation that he will be with us through the holidays. Every day I can see his face and that perpetually wagging tail, I thank God for. |

God Bless you both. Nothing like a wagging tail which definitely says: "I am feeling great and I love you."
This is the best news at this season of Christmas. Happy for you all. Have a great day! <<<Hugs>> Joanne |
