I have a 22 month old dog, Shu, who was diagnosed with lymphosarcoma about 6 weeks ago. It had spread to her CNS so her hind legs were paralysed, but she is responding well to chemotherapy and walking and wagging her tail again.
My worry is that the chemotherapy protocols for dogs haven't changed much in more than a decade and dogs who respond to chemo still don't seem to live longer than a year or so after diagnosis. I'm very interested in trying dichloroacetate (DCA) along with chemo for my dog and I'm wondering if anyone in this forum has tried it (or heard of anyone who has tried it). Here is the website that explains what it is: http://www.thedcasite.com/dca_how_it_works.html. Thanks for any feedback, Erin |
