Hi Toni, Its ok about the smoking, hard to give it up. When I was on the patch I had very vivid nightmares and it was not pleasant. I do need to try again, Good luck to you. Jim

    My Dear Toni,
First of all Happy Mother's Day. I know you are missing your Rusty as I am missing my Benny. These occasions bring the tears. Benny was such a dear puppy and loved days like this when the kids came over with gifts. He was nosy and often helped me open the packages and the tissue intrigued him
I know you are loving Levi, but Rusty will always hold a very special place in your heart. I am thinking of you today and wanted you to know I care. Hope your day is a good one. Let me know when you are having the knee surgery. Please take care of YOU!

    Love You Friend,
    Joanne

    Hi Toni

Yes I know what you mean some days are Ok and some days are bad. In the beginning I don’t think I could say any day was a good day. I used to say I had a heart ache and it hurt so bad, in time it gets better. Though I know Goobie will always keep a special piece of my heart I can now think more of the memories that bring smiles and less tears. Take care of yourself, enjoy your new puppy. Levi will not replace Rusty, but offer comfort to you when you are sad.

    Thinking of you

    My Dear Toni,
Don't feel badly about writing that you threw out Rusty's dishes and pillow. Everyone understands. We each handle our loss in our own way. You were the BEST friend Rusty had and you will love him and miss him forever. I wish we could just have Benny back, healthy and happy as he was in his good years, but that is not possible. I miss him so much and cry every day. today marks the 5th week since we said goodbye and my pain is still so fresh. If you would like to email me, my email address is:
the-gal@cogeco.ca. I have a real good group of online friends and have some really nice forwards I could send to you. I wish we could sit and talk also. You are a very special friend to me and I don't want to lose you from my list of special people. Try and have a good day and I will too. I know Shadow will be a wonderful addition to our home, but I will miss Benny who still owns a huge part of my heart and always will. Puppies are SO BUSY!!

    Love You Much,
    Joanne

    My Dear Toni,
I have been thinking about you a lot and wondering how you are doing? I know how much you are missing your Rusty and what a lucky dog he was to have such a loving friend as you in his life. I still cry off and on every day and my life seems to "be on hold." I just cannot seem to get inspired to do much. That is just part of the grieving process.
Know that you are in my heart and always in my prayers. Take care of yourself and get that knee looked at. You must do that for YOU!

    Love & Hugs,
    Joanne

    Toni,

I'm so sorry to here about Rusty. He was one lucky fur baby. You loved him and he loved you so very much. Just remember that you did everything that you could do. He is now playing with all of our babies that have crossed Rainbow Bridge. Free from his pain and suffering. Be good to yourself, it takes time. We are here to help lift each other up. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

    With Caring Thoughts,
    Sissy

    Hi Toni

I have been down with a spring cold so spending little time on the computer until today. I say your note about Rusty and know how much your heart is aching. Maybe a little comfort is knowing he is no longer in pain, however he left an ache in your heart. Take the time to grieve and know that we are here to support you thru the trying days ahead.
