Hi Toni,
Thank you so much for checking in and see how I am doing. Everyone here on this forum is WONDERFUL. I am doing alot better this week..more good days then bad days this week. I am missing Rider alot, I will always miss him but each day will get easier in time. We become so attached to our babies, as if they were real babies and it is so hard to let them go. We have Rider's ashes on our fire place next to Mr. Moose and a beauitful picture of him. I speak to him everyday before I go to work and give his picture a big kiss. I find so much comfort in that. It is indeed the HARDEST thing to have to do but we are so lucky to be able to free our loved ones of sickness and pain and be able to send them to a healthier and better place. I hope Rusty's injection goes well and I will indeed say a prayer for you guys. Take care and let me know how he is doing.
My Dear Toni,
Is there any way of having your surgery and having someone care for Rusty? You have to take care of yourself and this added worry is not good for your health. I wish I was closer and I would look after the little guy. Yes, I feel as if I have known you for a lifetime too and you can tell me anything. God gives some people more than they can handle and you have more for sure.
Let me know how Rusty makes out at the vet.
Benny's tumour is inflamed and he cannot lie on his right side on the floor anymore. However, he seems happy and is eating well so we just take one moment at a time. Do take care of yourself my dear friend.
Love, Joanne
My Dear Toni,
Thank you for your prayers for Benny. Glad you liked his pictures. He can no longer lie on his right side due to a rather large and inflamed tumour. He has had two cortisone shots into that tumour to no avail. Otherwise he is eating well, still chasing the squirrels and enjoying his walks. We treasure each moment we have. This is a tragedy for us all to be losing our best friends to this nasty disease.
God Bless you and Rusty. I hope the little guy is doing okay today.
