My Dear Sissy,
Your poem is beautiful and such love in it. I know Muffin will forever be in your heart and on your mind. I also write poetry and have not yet composed one for my Benny but I will and then I will share it with you. We really should live closer to each other and we could walk our "new puppies" and share memories of Muffin and Benny. Love You from just reading your beautiful stories and words. Thank you for helping me get through these dark days.
Until then, I’ll keep trying to see through my tears,
With memories you left us, to reflect through the years.
We’ll never forget one minute we spent,
Of loving and laughing, of places we went.
And I dread the day that your scent disappears,
For it’s “proof” to me, Muffin, That you were just here.
But one day will come, when we’ll start to see through,
The pain of the moment, and remember just “you”.
Now you go and play, and look down when you can,
Remembering we love you and this isn’t the end.
I sit and try to write the words, I want your heart to hear.
Hoping to find some comfort, in the fact that your not here.
I look around at all the space, that you once occupied,
Knowing now that space is empty, because my love, you’ve died.
I do believe with all my heart, that your soul has gone to be,
With all the other angel dogs, that you were meant to see.
We will have to stay behind, until God calls us too,
So do not be afraid, that he’s only called for you.
Your bubba Coco misses you dear, and longs for ya’ll to play.
And your bed is so empty, where your pretty head laid.
Our bed is to empty, where you once laid between,
The two people who LOVED you and now only dream,
That one day our eyes will shut one last time,
And you will come greet us, angel of mine.
Thank you for your comments on Benny's pictures. I think he and Muffin make a very handsome couple don't you? Wouldn't they have had beautiful puppies together? Of course, Benny was not able( we had to sign a promise to that effect, LOL)
Hi Sissy,
I sent two messages to you today and both disappeared. I don't know what is happening. Thank you for your very kind words re: Benny and yes, Muffin and Benny are having great days together, free from pain and romping in the dewy grass and enjoying the sunshine. We will miss them forever. Thank you so much for being my friend. I wish we lived near enough to share time and memories and hugs.
Hi
Sissy,
That poem to Raymond was just beautiful. you are very special indeed and I am glad to be your friend. Funny how sometimes the people with whom we become the closest are those who share a common tragedy and whom we will probably not meet face to face until we cross over the bridge.
So glad you are continuing to keep in touch and stay connected. It is important to others who are facing the loss of their beautiful dogs. Thanks so much for accepting me as your friend and being a friend on my page as well.
God Bless Ted for this website. It was his 45th birthday today!
Hi Sissy,
Thanks for your note. You have a beautiful daughter! What a precious doggy Muffin was and I know he and Benny will share some good times together. Benny was a "protector" and he will definitely take care of your little fur girl.
Continue to keep in touch and you can even email me if you have need.
God Bless you all!
I looked up at the sky tonight and there were 2 bright stars and one was Muffin and the other was Benny and I felt "calm."
Thank you Sissy,
No, it is very unfair and these beautiful puppies had to leave us far too soon. Another will never replace them, but one day perhaps another will "share our world" again.
Thanks for liking my Benny. I also know I would have loved knowing Muffin.
Dear Sissy,
Thank you so much for your kind words re: Benny. He was a "one of a kind" puppy dog, a big dog mentality in a little dog body. He came to us with a smile and we left his side with "tears." I don't think they will ever stop.
Your album of Muffin is precious and what an adorable bundle of "love."
