Hi everyone, I try to come on and post as often as I can. I bought my wife her Christmas present and gave it to her. It is another King Charles Caviler that is 11 weeks old and a rescue puppy. I hope all is well with everyone on the site.

    Hi Jim,
I have put a couple of pictures of Shadow in Benny's album but he was only 9 weeks old. He now has his schnauzer haircut and is growing. He weighed in at 4 lbs, 9 ounces yesterday at the vet and he absolutely AMAZING, quiet, smart, knows his name, is 90% house trained. I cannot believe how good he is for a puppy. He only chews on his own toys and not anything else. Benny is definitely part of this new pup. When Jim uploads the recent pictures, I include them. Thanks for asking. How is Bailey and Angel? My life is busy and I won't be on here quite as often.
    Blessings, Joanne

I started smoking again, I had an allergic reaction to the patches and I had blisters on my arms where there had been a patch, now I have square scars all over my upper arms. Just wanted you to know, but I'm not smoking as many per day.

    HI Jim,
I know what you mean about going through all the "firsts" without your puppy. Although it was very warm here yesterday and I usually am the fist to cut the lawn in the neighbourhood, I just couldn't do it, because like with Dasha, Benny was always outside with me. It is just so lonely around here without him. I am sure Bailey will perk up when you get Angel. It is really hard on the pup who is "left behind" because there is no way to explain to them why their best friend didn't come home that day.
I really appreciate all your input here. Thanks so much.
    Blessings, Joanne

    Dear Jim,
I sent you a message yesterday re: smilingblueskies.com website. Also you might be interested in reading the following: Canine Cancer: Nutrition and Diet Can be Key Lots of good information here on what is good to feed our dogs.
I fed Benny the CANCER FORMULA CANINE LIFE MUFFINS and he loved them. They make a special puppy formula which we will be getting for SHADOW.
Just thought you might enjoy reading through some of the literature.
Hope today is a good day for you all.
    Blessings,
    Joanne

    Jim and Rene,
I know how much Dasha meant to you and how hard it must be for you now.Sometimes it is in our most difficult circumstances that we see the hand of God most clearly. God loves you without condition. He's aware of what you're going through, and He is with you in your time of need. We love our pets because they are somehow like ourselves, only with more innocence and trust. Take Time and Take Care
    With Caring Thoughts,

    HEAVEN'S DOGGY-DOOR
My best friend closed his eyes last
night, As his head was in my hand.
The Doctors said he was in pain,
And it was hard for him to stand.
    The thoughts that scurried through
my head, As I cradled him in my arms.
Were of his younger, puppy years,
    And OH...his many charms.
Today, there was no gentle nudge
With an intense "I love you gaze",
Only a heart thats filled with tears
    Remembering our joy filled days.
But an Angel just appeared to me,
And he said, "You should cry no more,
GOD also loves our canine friends,
    HE's installed a 'doggy-door"!

    Jim,
I will be praying for you and your wife tomorrow. My heart goes out to you. Remember Dasha loves you and she will always be Daddy's Girl.
    Love,
    Sissy

Dasha is losing her battle, her leg is now becoming useless. My wife will be getting a hold of the vet and we will take our last part of the journey together next week. This is just killing me, but I know we are doing the right thing.
