Hi Kerri,
I just read your lovely post responding to the loss of Ginger. You say things SO WELL and I am sure you brought comfort to the family.
Benny is on a stronger dose of prednisone and some days are better than others. I am glad you are healing gradually and feeling somewhat better. I know Goober will always be a part of your heart and in your memories.
Have a lovely week-end and know that I am thinking of you always,
Dear Kerri,
I just loved the pictures of your beautiful Goober. No wonder you miss him so much. My mother-in-law had two black labs and they both got killed on the road in front of her house when she was away and Jim's dad was looking after? them. It was so sad.
Benny is slowing down some days and will probably be going on a larger dose of prednisone.
Thanks for your prayers. They are so appreciated. Also, thanks for continuing to be a source of support to me and others in this forum.
Hi Kerri,
Thanks for your note. I hope you had an enjoyable time at your cabin even though Goober was not with you this year. Benny is doing very well but two of the tumours are growing and today he starts back on a regime of prednisone for 3 weeks. The vet just ordered it without even asking to see Benny which I find very strange indeed.
I wish he didn't have to go back on this drug so soon. We take each day one day at a time which is all we can do. Thanks for asking.
Take care.
My Dear Kerri,
I just read your two messages re: the visit to your cabin and your Christmas. I was "blown away" by your lovely poem and look forward to reading the rest of it. How fantastic a tribute to Goober and how loving of your daughter to read it aloud at Christmas. The picture of Goober will remind you every day of the joy he brought into your lives. That was a perfect Christmas gift for you to receive.
I have pictures of Wolfgang and Willie all over the house and every day I smile at them remembering all the fun times we shared together.
I know you will miss Goober on your walks at the cabin but he will be with you every step of the way making sure you don't slip.
Enjoy your time away.
God Bless you and your family in the days ahead and may 2009 bring you all happiness, health, making of new memories and remembering all the love Goober brought in your lives and you into his.
How are you doing Kerri since this is your first Christmas without your beloved Goober? I am happy to be your friend and will enjoy hearing from you regularly. Everybody needs friends I am so pleased to be yours.
Thinking of you and Goober.
