Pammy is my wonderful 12 year old miniature schnauzer. She was diagnosed with some type of esophageal cancer. She also must be on a very restricted diet because she has severe bouts of pancreatitis when she deviates even just a little from her special diet. Most of the supplements etc she can't take. Her tumor is about the size of a large egg and it constricts her esophagus so dog food must be a pasty consistency and her food and water tray must be elevated. Our vet said surgery would be dangerous and we have elected not to have radiation or chemo.
She has lost quite a bit of weight but the good news is she still has quite a zest for living. I can't imagine my life without her,but I won't let her suffer. When it's time I'll have her put to sleep, but let me tell you I am devastated.
