Dear Friends,
One of our friends here, Sissy, had to say "goodbye" to her precious best friend Muffin a year ago today who lost her life to Mast Cell Tumour Cancer the same as my Benny.
Sissy is a very dear friend and although Maddie has come into her life and happened to be born the same day as Muffin left this earth, she still misses Muffin with all her heart.
I will be lighting a candle today for Muffin and Sissy. A year has gone by so fast.

Christmas Without My Dog

The tree is all trimmed.
The gifts are all wrapped.
The hymns are all sung,
And the travel plans mapped.

And still there's a sadness
That lies in your heart,
For a dog that was lost
And a love now apart.

A stocking is missing,
With toys and a treat.
A lap is now empty,
A space at your feet.

Yet remember this season
God's small gift to you,
Wonderful memories
To treasure life through.

Thanks so much Joanne, you are the greatest. As you know we still miss our beloved best friends, but life does go on. Muffin will always be in my heart and she lead of to another precious friend, Maddie. Our Christmas tree is decorated with pictures of Muffin and she will be here in spirit.
