Default tribute to a grand old lady

the days have passed quickly since you took your last walk
to your favourite place where we sat to talk.
i miss you hiding behind a tree
tail wagging which you thought i couldnt see
jumping skipping through the field
secretly hoping a rabbit would yield.

running on..... racing ahead and then,
stopping in your tracks......dead
looking back checking to see
if the person coming was really me.

i miss all your silly eccentric ways
and will remember them forever....... all my days.
i loved you old girl i never thought we would part
and now you have gone
it has broken my heart
and although ive now got a new friend
id give a kings ransom to have you back agen

Unhappy Grand Old Lady

Dear Jeff,
I totally understand your tears and pain. I don't know if I will ever get over losing Benny and out of the blue I will find myself remembering something and crying my eyes out. When I think of him my heart beats a little faster and I can feel his presence and smell his sweet scent still.

Nice to be able to come here and share. Everyone understands and nobody judges our feelings of loss.

Blessings,
Joanne
