thanks and yes, yes and yes -
you are right on all fronts -
-i don't know how to navigate this site! But I am now encouraged to learn how to - I will figure out how to get to the private thing - I am off to work - I'm a Juvenile Probation Officer - Buster (and his side kick Bella, a rescue pit bull) send their regards.
I have taken your advice about the energy - we sing songs about Buster fighting cancer and Buster beating cancer and dance around - much to the horror of anyone who witnesses it!

Hi Anne,
As promised, here a link to the other site that helps with financing therapies:
Speaking for Spot :: Help Paying for Veterinary Care
I hope you have a wonderful evening with your brave boy Buster and his sister Bella!

And, PS, there's been quite a few happy dances in our house over the past 6 months when we've had good news! And, you know what, you fake it til you make it in the times you don't feel like doing the happy dance!

Default Re: Financial help for you and Buster

Dear Anne,
I am glad that you are feeling a little more positive today thanks to Michelle who has a lot for which to be happy with Hamlet in remission. That is the kind of news we all like to hear on this site.

A while back John Myers who lost his 7 year old Spaniel Rocky to Lmphoma has just had a book about Rocky published and the profits go to helping others whose dogs have cancer but they have no funds to pay for treatments. Right now John is in Italy but I am copying his note re: his book. John has been a faithful friend and member of this site since losing Rocky in August 2009 and his user name if :ROCKYTOLA."

I myself purchased the book and it is just wonderful, but the best thing is that the profits go to people like you who have few funds and can help you pay for some things to help Buster.

It isn't even necessary for you to purchase his book but you can check out on the HOME section all the information you need and fill out a form with your story.

I wish you LUCK and keep dancing!!

In Friendship,
Joanne & Shadow

Default Rocky's web-site. Helping pets with Cancer
Hello:
Ted Schneck was gracious to allow me to post this E-mail to all my friends on this site! Thank you so much Ted! We are all in this fight together.

I joined just after my beloved Rocky, a buff colored Cocker Spaniel, was diagnosed with Lymphoma in September 2008. He was given 4-6 weeks to live! We started him on chemo and holistic treatment, but he finally lost his battle on August 20th 2009 at 12:30 pm, the worst day of my life! He was my companion 24x7 and he was everyone's friend. After he died, I swore that I would do whatever I could do help fight this awful disease. His oncologist in Massachusetts and I decided we would set up a fund to help people who were not as fortunate as we were, to provide funding for treatment for our best friends rather than have them put to sleep immediately as many thousands are every year! After he died, I wrote a book entitled 'Rocky': The Autobiography of a Chipmunk Chaser (and lessons on how to train our two legged friends to do what we want them to do!) ALL the profits from the book are going to a fund for people who don't have the means to pay for treatment when they get that awful news. You can find out more information about the book at Home or go direct to Rocky's publisher at Northshire Book Store Vermont Book Store VT Book Store Book Shop in Manchester Vermont. Please order his book as well as tell ALL your friends to do the same....copy and paste and send this to all your contacts. I have self-published this for my little buddy and just want to help you and others in the same bad situation, to do whatever we can to help our dogs!!!! I have had book signings, radio interviews and am looking to national coverage as Ted did! The book is a lot of fun, poignant in places but is intended to be an enlightening book and spoof on us owners!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for helping us all in this fight. Rocky would thank you too!

John
