Dear Friend,
I know just how sad you all are as you face losing this wonderful companion. My prayers will be with you. When the time comes and you can freely shed those tears you will know that you did everything possible for Bailey and some things are just "out of our hands." Bailey will definitely be in Heaven and always in your heart. I am so sorry for your whole family. " If LOVE alone could have saved any of these wonderful friends, then cancer would not have taken any of them from us. " God Bless, Joanne & Shadow |

Towards the end with my fur baby I had to go outside to cry/sob/curse/pray. Sometimes I didn't think I would stop crying I was so distraught. We humans have to be the strong ones for our precious pups when they are dying. They only know what we show them emotionally. I know how hard it is, we all do.
Make all the preparations for when the time comes. It will be painful but also ease your mind and give a bit of peace knowing all the important decisions and preparations have been made. Your sweet Bailey will let you know when it is time. Let him go with his dignity, not when there is a crisis. Our hearts go out to you as you suffer this unspeakable saddness. Be strong dear one. --Raymond PS- you can read my journey. Just search "Larry" and you'll see the thread "I will journal my heart out for Larry." |

Dear Friend,
I still go back and read " I will journey my heart out for Larry" and watch the video you made when he crossed Rainbow Bridge. This got me through some very sad days after losing Benny. Thank you dear friend. Blessings, Joanne |

Like Raymond said, it is best to plan ahead what you are going to do at the end, as hard as that is going to be, I so related to him when he talked about going out side to cry and sob. Im sorry that there is going to be a lot of that ahead for you , but it does get better with time. You will have to make some very hard decisions, soon. If you are going to have him cremated, who around you does that, If he suffers in the night, where can you go to help him on his way to the Rainbow Bridge.
I wish I had prepared, because we had to make a lot of these decisions really fast, and on a Sunday, when we had just lost our dog and we were all sick with grief. Know that we are here for you, we hurt for you, we feel your pain and we know it firsthand, unfortunately. If there is anything we can do, andy questions we can answer, just say the word. Hugs TJ(missing my Dante) |
