Benny and I want to wish everyone here a Happy Valentine's Day and know that my prayers are with you all at this difficult time.
Benny had a shot of a cortisone-based drug into one of his larger tumors a week ago Friday and today the tumor is showing inflammation once more and is hard ( it is a Mast Cell Tumor.) He is resting comfortably after his morning walk. I treasure each day I have with him. My husband has the flu and today is just not a really happy day here. Know that I am thinking of you all and hope that some of your precious friends are healing and doing better and those who weren't eating are once again enjoying food and that you still have lots more time with your "best friend." This is a tough disease to deal with and the tears come readily and sometimes unexpectedly. Every day is a "gift." Take care. In Friendship, Joanne (Benpaws) & Benny |

Thanks Raymond. You are a real dear for responding.
I think of you every day and I have watched your video many many times. You should feel very proud of this tribute to Larry and also your final moments with him. I thought you might appreciate the following quote: So many of us have travelled difficult roads with our beloved animal companions. If love was a magic potion, certainly none of our dogs would ever be faced with the cruelty that is cancer. "I have sometimes thought of the final cause of dogs having such short lives and I am quite satisfied it is in compassion to the human race; for if we suffer so much in losing a dog after an acquaintance of ten or twelve years, what would it be like if they were to live double that time?" . . .
