Red face Clare and Murphy say hello

New to site , just wanted to say hello. Murphy is my gorgeous 8 year old chocolate labrador who is just recovering from a full rear leg amputation follwing a spindlecell sarcoma diagnosis, believe it or not this has taken since September to diagnose and on a 3rd referral, after x rays, MRI scans , you name it he had it.. The last vet at least saw sense and found the problem which turned out to be lump on his digit on his paw..but we have a much happier boy even though its only been 10 days since his leg removal.

Bless you for giving Murphy a chance. I have a co-workwer who put her dog down for this becasue she didn't think her dog could be happy- personally I don't think she wanted to be bothered by the care that would be needed after surgery prior to healing. Dogs are wonderful patients. They don't sit around and feel bad about their life, they continue on making the very best of each day. I hope Murphy recovers quickly and remains at your side for many years.

To be honest Murphy has only been using 3 legs since September so the Vets were shocked to see how good he was after only 3 days. It is less than 2 weeks after surgery and is so much happier. Have attached pic of him X oh and my vet said dogs are born with 3 legs and a spare and this after nearly 2 weeks i have to agree with him X

Murphy is just an awesome and handsome boy. A dear friend of mine has taken in several "rescue" dogs with only 3 legs. They all do so well and to think they were unwanted because they only had 3 legs.

The two she has now can outrun her Golden Retriever puppy! YEAH!

Hugs to Murphy and kudos to you.

God Be With you both,

Blessings, Joanne & Shadow
