Default Holistic medicines

Rocky underwent 18 weeks of chemo for lymphoma and had very few side effects except for the vincristene which made him behave very oddly for a couple of days. He is currently in remission, eating an all protein diet, no grains, K9 immunity every day, cottage cheese blended with flax seed oil and a curcumin tablet once a day (turmeric). So far so good. He has his regular vet, oncologist and his holistic vet...all have been wonderful. Any questions please let me know...we would be more than happy to help!

Hi,

I'm interested in how Rocky is doing energy-wise. Is he back to normal energy after the chemo or is he at a lower level than before the cancer? How did the diet change affect him? What kind of chemo treatments did you use?

Thanks. Glad to hear he's doing so well.

Default Rocky

We had him on the chemo (Wisconsin protocol) until Feb and then the lymphnodes came back 3 months later. He is on CCNU now every 3 weeks which is less invasive. He has the all protein diet but no flaxseed and cottage cheese. Also has some holistic stuff too but is lively, happy, runs like a madman and has lost no energy. No-one believes he is sick when they see him. We are staying with the current meds although his lumps are not getting bigger or smaller but not sure I want him to do the 4 hour chemo stuff. Will keep you apprised of progress. Good luck to you too!!! let me know if you have any questions

Thanks for the update. Sounds like he's doing pretty well.
I decided to not do chemo at all, hopefully I won't regret it. Please post updates occasionally on his progress.

Good luck!

Default Rocky update

Thanks. He is doing ok again after a few days of moping around. It helps when the weather is good and he can get out. You should check the Budwig protocol as well as a holistic vet if you don't want to do the chemo. Rocky is only on an under the skin shot and chemo tabs every 3 weeks so it's not too painful(or so he tells me!) We have another visit on the 8th so I will be back in touch.
Good luck to you too!
