Default New diet

Since my dog's surgery, I have tried to find out what to feed him. I'm slowly weaning him off his dry dog food. I've been inserting raw liver mixed with tofu. I read at another site that soy protein was the best. I'm now giving him brown rice and asparagus with it. Is this approriate? How do I know how much to give him? Is there something better? Any advice would be appreciated.

All of the research I have seen points to a high protien, low carb diet and to stay away from grains. Here are some sites with good information. Read everything you can, there is a lot of information out there.
