Ella passed away from Lymphoma and we had her on a special diet with supplements and herbs etc. What do you feed your healthy dogs. I don't know if I need to feed them what I was feeding her, but I still want something healthy. Then when I look up the comparisons with dog foods, I don't want to feed them anything. The major companies are making crap. I want a healthy food or heathly homemade diet. Any suggestions?

I am feeding our year old puppy Shadow the same muffins I fed to Benny, although Benny's were the "CANCER FORMULA" and Shadow's are the "puppy formula: http://cancer.landofpuregold.com/nutrition-diet.htm I also add chicken livers and free-range boiled chicken and seaweed which he just loves. He is also on salmon oil capsules every other day and loves salmon with turmeric done in extra virgin olive oil. All his treats are "human grade" with no additives, preservatives, grains etc. in them. He also loves bison tenderloin and venison, eggs, cottage cheese. He doesn't like vegetables but they are ground up in the muffins and he eats them that way without knowing they are in there. He absolutely loves bison liver bark. He is super healthy and happy and I pray that he stays that way. We are not giving him yearly vaccinations but having "titres" (blood tests) done to assure that his immune system is healthy and he is in good shape. I can NEVER go through CANCER again with my puppy. He will be our last dog. Good Luck! Blessings, Joanne & Shadow Last edited by Benpaws; 07-27-2010 at 10:22 AM. |
