Hi Everyone,
I hope this is the appropriate place to post this message. This is a wonderful forum and I don't want to abuse the posting rules and guidelines. This past February I lost my beloved Cocker Spaniel, Tobie, to cancer. Believe it or not, until the day he died, I didn't realize he had cancer. He had a wonderful appetite (typical Cocker Spaniel) and didn't have any of the normal symptoms that are associated with cancer. After he died, I realized that some of the symptoms that I attributed to growing older (and being overweight) should have set alarm bells off in my head. I feel so guilty and wish I could go back in time. Maybe. Just maybe if I had paid attention to these signals, I could have saved him. Sadly, I can't bring Tobie back. So, I vowed to honor his memory in some way. I decided to put together (with the help of a veternarian surgeon) a book that details the various treatments available for dog cancers. This includes chemotheraphy, radiation treatment, diet, alternative medicines, etc. I'm also going to have detailed information about the various dog cancers and their typical prognosis on the website that I'm going to create. ![]() I would like to highlight each chapter of the book with a personal story from a dog owner who has experienced that particular procedure. I feel it would give the book a more personal touch and seem less clinical. If you would like to share your personal cancer story, I would love to hear from you. Please contact me via my email address in my profile. ![]() Thank you so much! Caroline |

Thank you so much for your kind words and support, Raymond. I never knew how prevalant dog cancer was until I started learning about the subject. I wish with all my heart our beloved companions could be spared this dreaded disease.
Hopefully, in the future, with further advances in technology and research in this area, that wish will be fulfilled!
