My beautiful good girl. I am so sorry, I tried so very hard with your fight with the leukemia. You fought a brave and courageous fight and you managed to enjoy an extra six weeks of playing ball, chasing the squirrels and having a swim two days ago. That time was a precious gift to us.
Yesterday morning, you were having such a good day with the family. Little did I know you be on this fast falling downward spiral of life. You were in so much pain this morning. I could not be to see you like this, but especially seeing you in such pain, I did make a promise to you that I would not let you suffer. It hurts so much right now and I just don't know what to do with myself. There are lots of loved ones waiting for you. We love you so much. Kira's mom and dad, and brother Willy. |

Godspeed beautiful Kira! Run, play and swim free in the fields, meadows, and lakes of the other side! Peace and comfort to your family on this side as they await your reunion.

Dear Friend,
You did all that you could and now your beautiful Kira is free from pain and waiting at Rainbow Bridge where you will one day reunite. I know your heart is breaking into a million pieces and you feel a numbness and the tears flow readily. Remember the good times and hug Willy and take each day one step at a time until peace begins to fill your heart. This is the hardest part of the journey right after the loss. My prayers go out to you and your family. I remember how sad I was and I didn't think I would ever be okay, but I am. Blessings, Joanne & Shadow |

I'm so sorry to hear that Kira passed, but know that the extra time you gave her, the extra GOOD time, was so worth it to her and to you. I know the extra 2-3 months we had of good health was such an incredible gift. I too was surprised after a day where Dante ate well and had an extra long walk because he refused to head for home, he was breathing fast and obviously in distress. We had to say goodbye that day, too.
Know that you are going to be in a fog, a sad empty fog, for a while. YOu will be sad and lost and will cry a lot. It seems like that feeling will never pass, but it will. RIght now you will have to just feel it in order to get through it. It's not unusual to feel like you would as one of your human family members passed. They are family just as much as the two legged ones. |

so very sorry to hear about kira, she will be painfree now and in your hearts forever. i can only say that time does help and at this time it is very hard to realise that things will get better. everyone here knows just what you are going through and understands how you feel but you will never lose her she will always be there with you all, just like my grand old lady is here with me.
