Sorry for the loss of your sweet dog. Tears come to my eyes just remembering the day we gave in to the Lymphoma and helped Dante into his final rest. It was so hard and we still miss him so much, but it does get better and the support of everyone here is amazing and so helpful. Its going to be hard and hurt for a long time, but you will feel it easing bit by bit, day by day.

I had to let my baby Sam go last Saturday too. I still keep expecting to see him on his favorite chair, or hear his little paws coming down the hallway looking for me. It's the hardest thing I've ever experienced. My friends whose gone through this said I should let myself grieve, and the only thing that will help me with the pain is time.

Thanks Julie, it's been 2 weeks, and I still expect to see him when i get home. Still a big emptiness here, but I guess 2 weeks is not a long time. My deepest sorrow for your loss of Sam.
