My 8 year old rott Zena has had lymphoma since the end of Jan 2009.She is on her 7th chemo treatment and is doing quite well. Her lymph nodes are in normal range now and hasn't had any side effects from the chemo. She is on a high protein/low carb diet due to many hours of research that showed carbs(corn, wheat, rice, potatoes, etc.)causes the cancer to increase. Also read that a good fish oil supplement slows the lymphoma(which she is on also).Hoping for a long remission!

Hi,
Thanks for visiting this forum, you'll find lots of valuable information and support from fellow dog lovers who have/are going through what you are experiencing. Great news on the chemo working with no side effects. Keep studying the supplements thing. Have you discovered K9-Immunity yet? If not go to Dog Cancer, Healthy Dog Food and Pet Health - DogCancerInfo.com and check it out. We are all hoping and praying for a long remission too! God Bless, --Raymond |

Raymond,
Thanks for the prayers and hope!I have looked at K-9 immunity, but the oncologist says not to use antioxidants until chemo treatments are done because it may limit the effects of the chemo.I will use them in a few months. |

Thanks for the support Trish.Sorry to hear Maximus isn't doing well.I saw pics of him and he is one handsome rott!Don't feel like you're giving up or that feeling of helplessness. You have done and are doing so much for him.You are giving him the best medical care and love possible!Look how many more weeks you have given him which gave you time to treasure each day with him. That 3 week drug they gave him is a really strong drug,so it may still work.I hope he bounces back!
Love and Prayers, Dean and Zena |

Hi Jackson is feed on a English Dry food called Arden Grange which is Lamb & Rice , he also has 1 fish oil capsule & 1 teaspoon of Liquid Glucosimime per day + he has fresh fish or chicken with rice every other week .
Hope this helps not to sure if it is his food , his treatment , just pure luck or deep love for him , anyway what ever it is I hope it keeps on working John & Roz |
