This is an old thread. Maximus passed away a week after our Benny in April, 2009. Trish was devastated by his loss.

Hi everyone just to let you all know that Jackson is still with us , unfortunately he came out of remission , but as it was 14 months since his last lot of chemo he was able to go back and have some more, well he has another 2 sessions to go before this course is complete, last friday he was checked over with a scan & ultrasound and there was no cancer evident so we are very pleased
, he is such a brave and strong boy we love him so much , he is still being a pain barking and jumping around but boy it is good to see him so happy. Will keep you all posted to his treatment ,but remember NEVER EVER give up hope your pet might just surprise you |

It's stories like Jackson's that gives us battling the beast hope and faith! While he's gone out of remission, the extra time you're getting with Jackson is wonderfule! My Hamlet is undergoing his induction protocol and was just declared in partial remission last week! He had his 2nd doxorubicin treatment last week and had some pretty rough side effects but I swear I don't feel any of his nodes right now! Maybe it's wishful thinking since his neck nodes were the only thing keeping the full remission proclamation at bay but here's hoping!
Keep fighting the good fight, Jackson!Michelle, Rufus & Hamlet |

Hi everyone thank you so much for all of your thoughts & messages , Good news Jackson is now back in FULL remission again , He had his chemo & a full check up yesterday everything was all clear , he wiil have his last maintenance chem in 2 weeks which we will give his tablet then his vet will stop and see what happens , The chemo this time has taken its toll as he has been a bit tired , but it has not stopped him from eating .
To all of you out there just keep on hoping like Roz & I have been for the last 2 years because June 10th 2008 was the day he was diagnosed How is Hamlet I hope that everything is going well is the doxorubicin going Ok ? as that is the strongest drug about & dogs that can withstand the bad side effects usually get a better Remission so I have been told I will keep you posted John & Roz |

Hi everyone just been to see our onvcolgist today good news Jackson has been scanned & his bloods checked & everything is fine so it looks like he is free from cancer at the moment That makes it 2 years 15 days since he was found to have lypmhoma.
He has not had any chemo now for a month now we were very scared about today, He is still his old self running about like a young pup. Unfortunately the chemo has taken its toll on his energy levels but he still goes mad for 5 - 10 mins at a time But he is still with us thank god Our hearts go out to all of you out there who have been & are going through this huge amount of trauma |
