Default Quality of life/Sam's Lymphoma

Sam was diagnosed with Lymphoma on my birthday, 7-26-2010. He is 14 and the vet said chemo would only extend his life for 10 months to a year, so I opted not to take that route. The vet thinks Sam has about 2 months to live.
Sam lost his appetite and was panting a lot - I just thought it was due to his age and the hot summer in LA... trying not to feel guilty but feel so bad I didn't take him to the vet sooner.

Prednisone is helping him with his appetite and he seems comfortable enough to go on for a while, but I think about the "quality of life" issue all the time. He's not suffering 24/7, but he can't run, can't eat much, and I can feel the swollen kidney and nodes. It's really hard to watch him get so skinny.
I feel terrible that a part of me wants it to be just all over because it's so hard to watch him deteriorate.
