My 5yr old white Boxer Sadie just had a 2nd operation on her left hind leg to remove what we thought was a tumor regrowing. She has the 1st operation Oct 30, 2008, it was mast cell stage II. A week ofter the operation I noticed swelling. I started giving her tumeric 1/4 tsp 3X a day in her food. The swelling went down significantly. She had the 2nd operation Nov 20, 2008. The vet just phoned and said there were no signs of any Mast cell at all!!!! I don't really think the tumeric worked on the cancer, probably just the inflammation (without any harmful effects).
But I had been looking into Artemisinin. If the cancer returns I plan on using it.
