Are you giving Artemisinin to him? If so have you had any results good or bad? My holistic vet had never heard of it but did some research at my request and we are starting Neeky on it tomorrow. She has not had chemo or radiation but is on a homeopathic remedy, fish oil, coconut oil, flax oil with cottage cheese (what an oily dog!) raw food, no grains, some medicinal mushrooms, an antioxidant and vitamins. Is there anything obviously missing that you would give with all this? I am a bit concerned about the large amount of oil but so far she seems to be feeling pretty good. I'll know more on Wednesday when she gets another blood test. Praying for a good report.

I have read that much of the flax seed's potency is lost in the oilmaking process. It is advised to purchase the flax seeds whole and grind them up yourself. This way it's always fresh and has the greatest potency. I get a 50lb bag of the seeds, grind up a container full for my 7 dogs and sprinkle it over their food. They like the taste and it also helps to cover up some of the taste of the other herbs I give them. It must be kept in the fridge after grinding. I use a heaping teaspoon daily for my 60-80lb dogs.
