You have come to the right place!
Diet wise, carbohydrates feed cancer cells so if you feed a high protein, low to no carb diet, you will not help cancer cells live. I sure understand the budget part. I shopped for whoever had the cheapest ground beef or ground turkey or ground chicken. If you have a Winco, they mark their ground meats down the day before they expire to $1 per package, usually about 1 1/2 lbs per package.I mixed the ground meat with raw broccoli, carrot and spinach (buzzed for a few seconds together in the food processor on grate),a little cooked lentil, cottage cheese, small amount of fresh garlic and a couple tablespoons of cold pressed flasxseed oil. You can make large patties and freeze them individually in small containers. I usually just made a three day batch, divided it into small containers for single feeds and stored in the fridge. My dog loved the raw diet.
An inexpensive supplement is Artemisinin, promising studies with it killing cancer cells in dogs and humans.
