Joanne, thank you for your advice, kind words, and the links. I actually shot off a quick email to Robert McDowell in the event he has any further advice for me.

My husband asked me this morning if I'm going to be okay. I told him, "Probably not." He asked, "You never thought you could love a dog so much, did you?"

No, I didn't. :::sob:::
