I am so sorry for your loss and that TJ suffered in the end which surely broke your heart even more. It is a great thing that we have emergency clinics for our beloved pets if they have need and that they are put out of their pain even though it breaks your heart.
Yes, indeed they can be playing one moment and the next be in great distress. Such is the awful truth of "Cancer."
Dogs live to please us and they worry about us and want to do everything they can to improve our dispositions and make us happy. They do not deserve such an illness as cancer and such a painful end. They complete us in every way and without them in our lives, our hearts sink to the deepest depths for a very long time.
We all understand what you are feeling right now and no words can take away your pain.
